Villa Benatti was constructed in 1911, at a time when the city walls of Carpi were being knocked down to make way for the demand for new homes, an event that resulted in the birth of the first generation of homes. In the Seventies the building became the property of the Benatti family, belonging first to Novello and then to his son Franco. The work performed at that time partially altered the features of the Liberty style villa, including expansion of the patio, giving the building a new look.
